The title itself is part of a larger saying by Seneca, “Ignis Aurum Probat, Miseria Fortes Viros.” Simply put, fire tempers gold just as adversity tests strong men. My intent with this blog is to be an open and professional discussion about leadership topics, my personal experiences in and out of an Army uniform and how they affected me, as well as a place to discuss current events.
